About Us
We are a group of students from the class 5D who formed a group called the Animation group. We all like animation, even the ones who couldn't animate. Emily, Raysha and Cassandra love anime. We are making this blog to document our journey in the PYP exhibition. The issue that we chose was deforestation. We are using what we have learnt about animation to raise awareness about this issue.
OUR UNIT |
The theme of our exhibition is "How We Express Ourselves". The central idea is, "Art forms can be used to communicate different ideas, emotions and feelings.' We are required to make our own Lines of inquiry, questions and central idea too. The central idea of our group is, "Animation can be used to convey certain messages, expressions and emotions".

Global issue
We are asked to choose an issue happening around the world. Our group chose deforestation. The main objective is to give back what we have damaged, which is planting. We would like to plant in the school's MYP & DP garden and take care of it & watch it grow. There are many reasons trees are cut. |
How animations can help raise awareness of deforestation?
Animations raise awareness to issues easily because it is very attractive and it has a lot of sound effects. It also depends on your creativity and the message. You have to give the message clearly and make it very very interesting. It should have background sounds. For an example, If your talking about deforestation as an issue, use the sound of birds chirping, the forest, trees shaking, bulldozers, etc. Its all about confidence, creativity and imagination.
